LOWER SCHOOL VISITORS' WEEK
December 14 19 parents are invited into the studio to observe and monitor the progress of Lower School students; we urge at least one parent to attend to support their efforts. Grandparents or out-of-town guests are welcome to observe anytime in the classroom with permission of the teacher.
LAST CLASSES
There are 32 weeks of classes (except for Creative Movement and “Mom and Me”). The last day of each class is determined by the number of snow days experienced each year; the actual date of each last class will be posted in late April. Parents in the Lower School are invited and encouraged to attend the last class of the year (CERTIFICATE DAY) to observe the technical work learned.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5, 7:00pm
UPPER SCHOOL PRESENTATION NIGHT
LEVELS A, B, C Ballet, Modern 1, 2/3 and Jazz 3, 4
This is held at the Amherst Regional Middle School auditorium and is open to the public. Parents of all Amherst Ballet students are urged to attend to see short presentations of classroom work by Upper School students. We hope Lower School dancers will attend and be inspired by their role models in the Upper School. A small admission fee will be charged to defray the expenses of the evening.
FUNDRAISING EVENTS
Amherst Ballet, as a non-profit organization (501(c)3), is dependent on fundraising events. The Fifth Annual Harvest Fete and Silent Auction will be held at the Duda family barn in Pelham on October 3. Other fundraisers take place throughout the year and include a holiday coffee and cocoa sale. We welcome your suggestions for additional fundraisers. Your donations are always welcomed and appreciated.
