Dream Catchers

A Native American Tale

 

A Children’s Summer Workshop

This workshop is for boys and girls aged 6 – 10 years

 

July 7 – 11, 2008

9:30am – 3:30pm

 

Join us for a week of dance, art projects and creativity as we learn choreography and create costumes, props and sets for our unique version of this Native American theme to be performed in our own studio theater!  Explore the story of the spider who helps bring the sun back to the people by capturing the sunlight on her sparkling web.  Children will make and decorate their own individual dream catchers, study birds native to the Southwest United States, draw and paint their feathers and create their own cradle boards for dolls used in the production.  The number of participants is limited to 18.  Children will be grouped based upon age.  Early registration is recommended to ensure your child’s participation.

In The Time of Knights and Castles

 

A Children’s Summer Workshop

This workshop is for boys and girls aged 6 – 10 years

 

July 21 – 25, 2008

9:30am – 3:30pm

 

Join us for a week of dance, art projects and creativity as we bring take a trip to the past.  Explore the medieval ages with us through dancing and art as we perform a ballet about life in medieval Europe to the sounds of flute and drum.  Knights and maidens will study castle design and will build their own castle set to be used during our performance in our own studio theater!  Armor, swords, shields, and ladies headdresses will be constructed, decorated and painted together with various artifacts from the period.  The number of participants is limited to 18.  Children will be grouped based upon age.  Early registration is recommended to ensure your child’s participation.
