LOWER SCHOOL VISITORS' WEEK

December 12 – 18 parents are invited into the studio to observe and monitor the progress of Lower School students; we urge at least one parent to attend to support their efforts.  Grandparents or out-of-town guests are welcome to observe anytime in the classroom with permission of the teacher.

LAST CLASSES

There are 30 weeks of classes in the Lower School (except for Creative Movement) and 32 weeks of classes in the Upper School.  The last day of each class is determined by the number of snow days experienced each year.  The actual date of each last class will be posted by late April.  Parents in the Lower School are invited and encouraged to attend the last class of the year to observe the technical work your child has learned.  For ballet classes, this is called CERTIFICATE DAY.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9, 7:00pm

UPPER SCHOOL PRESENTATION NIGHT

LEVELS A, B, C Ballet, Modern I, II and Jazz III, IV

This is held at the Amherst Regional Middle School auditorium and is open to the public.  Parents of all Amherst Ballet students are urged to attend to see short presentations of classroom work by Upper School students.  We hope Lower School dancers will attend and be inspired by their role models in the Upper School.  A small admission fee will be charged to defray the expenses of the evening.

FUNDRAISING EVENTS

Amherst Ballet, as a non-profit organization, is dependent on fundraising events.  The Third Annual Harvest Fete and Silent Auction will be held at the Duda family barn in Pelham on October 14.  Other fundraisers take place throughout the year and include Innisbrook Gift Wrap and Boston Coffee Cake sales.  We welcome your suggestions for additional fundraisers.

Your donations are always welcome.  Amherst Ballet is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and donations are tax deductible.
