We would like to ask for your support of Amherst Ballet. Our small non-profit organization relies on the generosity of, and investment from, people like you, in addition to tuition, to ensure we can truly fulfill our Mission of Ballet4All!
Amherst Ballet is much more than just a dance school. It is a center in the community where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to share their love of the arts. Our motto, Ballet for All!, promotes the belief that dance is for everybody, not only those with a particular body type, of a specific age, or from a certain socio-economic category.
Your support this year will help to fund our new outreach program to the extended care and rehabilitation facilities, increase our scholarship funds, help bring in various series of Master Classes from dance professionals, and help with general operating support. Our outreach program brings small groups of dancers into nursing homes and extended care facilities, to perform for members of the local community who are unable to attend our regular season shows due to health restrictions and/or physical limitations. We also hope to increase our scholarship funds to help families in need. This past year we brought Principal Dancer of the Boston Ballet Eris Nezha to Amherst Ballet for three days of Master Classes. Later this year we are bringing Amherst Ballet alumna Adele Fisk back to the school to give a weeklong series of Graham and Horton Technique Master Classes. Individual donations have already helped us to replace the dance floor in the Upper Studio. Every donation we receive helps us to improve our facility and the services we offer to our community.
Please consider donating to Amherst Ballet. Your contribution in any amount is appreciated. You can drop a check in the mail, visit amherstballet.org and give on-line, or stop by in person. All donations made to Amherst Ballet are tax deductible. We appreciate your support!
