LOWER SCHOOL VISITORS' WEEK
December 12-17 parents are invited into the studio to observe and monitor the progress of Lower School st udents; we urge at least one parent to attend to support their efforts. Grandparents or out-of-town guests are welcome to observe anytime in the classroom with permission of the teacher.
LAST CLASSES
There are 32 weeks of classes (30 weeks for Creative Movement). The last day of each class is determined by the number of snow days experienced each year; the actual date of each last class will be posted in late April. Parents in the Lower School are invited and encouraged to attend the last class of the year (CERTIFICATE DAY) to observe the technical work learned.
UPPER SCHOOL TEACH-IN OPEN HOUSE
On December 17 we will hold an Upper School “Teach-in Open House” which is an opportunity for family and friends to watch their dancers in action. From 3:00-5:00pm guests are invited to explore the Amherst Ballet facility, watch dancers learn in the classroom environment, meet other parents of Amherst Ballet dancers and join us for refreshments in the Lower Studio.
All Lower School dancers and their parents are also invited to attend.
FUNDRAISING EVENTS for our 40th Anniversary Season!
Amherst Ballet is a non-profit organization [501(c)3] dependent on fundraising events. The Second Annual Dance-a-thon (November 12), Annual Fete and Silent Auction with Student Choreography Showcase (late winter) and 40th Anniversary Fashion Show (spring) are all events to mark on your calendar! Other fundraising activities take place throughout the year including Pizza & a Movie Nights and a November coffee and cocoa sale. We welcome your suggestions for additional fundraisers.
Your donations are always welcome and appreciated.
